The economics of household staffing are rarely discussed openly. We think they should be. We publish wage standards because opacity enables poor outcomes for the people doing the work.

Common Market Practice
The NCR kasambahay minimum wage is ₱7,800/month as of February 2026 (Wage Order NCR-DW-06). Provinces range from ₱6,000–₱6,500/month depending on region. Some agencies deduct fees from worker salaries in violation of the Batas Kasambahay — take-home pay drops well below the mandated floor.
