Today, Joel Cordova joins MaidProvider.ph, the DOLE-licensed household staffing agency I founded in 2009, as our first Chief Executive Officer.

I started this company in 2009 in a building in Pasay with one idea: families deserve someone they can trust in their home, and the people who work in those homes deserve to be treated with dignity. For seventeen years, most of the decisions here went through me. That worked while we were small. It is not how a company becomes the place a country turns to for household staffing.

01Why now

Founders often hold on to the operator's chair too long. I decided not to.

We are building new products alongside placement and serving more families than at any point in our history. That work needs a leader whose whole day belongs to operations, the hub team, and the families and household professionals we serve. It is a full-time job. It deserves a full-time leader.

02Why Joel

We ran a real search. Every candidate completed a written exercise on decisions they had owned and how they would set priorities, then a live business case with me. What decided it was Joel himself. He is the calmest person in any room. He says what he means the first time. And every answer came with receipts.

Joel brings two decades of experience across technology, operations and business transformation, with leadership roles at Samsung Electronics, SM Investments and Voyager Innovations, and earlier experience at JobStreet. He will lead our operations, strengthen our teams and drive our next stage of growth.

03What changes

  • +Joel leads MaidProvider.ph day to day: operations, the hub team, and the growth of our placement business.
  • +Team culture and hiring are his. I have handed him the floor on both.
  • +I move to Founder & Chief Creative Officer, focused on brand, product, and the Human+ Standard. I remain the company's majority shareholder.
  • +His first month is for listening. Joel spends his first thirty days alongside the team in the hub before he changes anything.

04What stays

  • =One name, one licensed agency. MaidProvider.ph, DOLE PEA License M-24-04-034, in the same Pasay neighborhood since 2009. Verify it here.
  • =Security Double-Lock® screening for every household professional we place.
  • =The founding rule.
The founding rule
Be kind and patient with every household professional.

It was the first thing I handed Joel. It is the one rule that comes with the job.

05What's next

For our families and household professionals: more of what you already count on from us.

Families will feel this in faster answers and clearer follow-through. Household professionals will feel it in a team with more time for them.

Seventeen years in, the best thing I can do for this company is make room for someone who will take it further.

Welcome, Joel.
